KIPP DOUGHERTY NAMED VICE PRESIDENT OF CULINARY AND OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

[RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, August 5, 2021] — Provider Contract Food Service has named Kipp Dougherty as Vice President of Culinary and Operational Excellence.


Dougherty first joined Provider - a contract food service operator based out of Riverside, CA- in 2007, when she took over as Director of FoodService, overseeing the dining venues at California Baptist University. Since then she and her team have worked hand-in-hand with CBU’s leadership to build a nationally ranked dining program.


In addition to her exceptional leadership at CBU, she has also been instrumental in helping Provider grow, now managing the dining program of campuses across Southern California, and recently adding a campus in Texas.


Dougherty brings amazing culinary and operational experience to her role. As a CIA ProChef and love for all things food, she has a sophisticated understanding of flavor profiles and uses her skills to develop menus that fit the diverse clients we serve. Always looking for that next great bite, she has experience in all levels of service from fast food and fast casual dining, fine dining and special event catering.


Kevin Murray has been named Senior Regional Manager overseeing the dining programs at California Baptist University, Life Pacific University, Hope International University, San Diego Christian College, and Shadow Mountain Community Church. Murray brings with him thirty-one years of hospitality experience. He has been with Provider since 2011, and for the past four years has been heading-up multiple campus dining divisions as Campus Food Service Director. Murray is responsible for building a positive foodservice and hospitality culture, overseeing all dining venues, on-site catering, menu deployment, ensuring the delivery of premier quality food and service, spearheading student surveys, and adhering to special dietary requests for students and staff on campus.


Steve Torti has been named Regional Manager overseeing SouthWestern Baptist Theological Seminary and Del Rey Yacht Club. Torti started his restaurant career in 1989 at Claim Jumper, as a manager and was quickly promoted to the role of General Manager. He founded and ran his own company, Southstar Enterprises, in Pickens, South Carolina, a family style restaurant and catering company. He has also held management roles at concepts including Golden Coral, Flat Rock Grille, Sticky Fingers Rib House, and The Fresh Market.


Promoted to Director of Food Service at California Baptist University, Eric DaCosta will now oversee all CBU dining venues. DaCosta has been with Preferred Hospitality Inc. for over 20 years, beginning as a manager in our retail dining restaurants, and eventually moving to the Provider in 2007. Eric has shown exceptional leadership during his tenure and we are eager to see him continue to succeed in carrying forward our goal of winning over every guest, every meal , every time.


Ramiro Martin has been promoted to General Manager - Operations for the dining program at California Baptist University. Martin began his tenure working as a manager for the Market Broiler brand in 2012, and joined Provider in 2018.
